Looking for an arXiv cs.CV endorsement (independent researcher)
Hi everyone,
I’m Tariq Ahmad, an independent researcher based in Pakistan. I’ve built a small open-source project called TargetV1, a confidence-gated visual recognition pipeline that combines DINOv3, SAM, CLIP, and Moondream2, and I’ve written it up as a preprint I’d like to submit to cs.CV.
This is my first arXiv submission, so I need an endorsement from someone already active in the category.
Quick summary of the paper: instead of trusting a single model’s output, the pipeline scores each detected object with a real confidence number (via CLIP), and anything below a calibrated threshold automatically gets checked against Wikipedia before being reported as confirmed or inconclusive. The paper documents the full build, including a Blackwell/CUDA compatibility issue on RTX 50-series GPUs, and an honest negative result about DINOv3 similarity failing across image domains.
